Description

Koke'e State Park is known for its breathtaking views of the Kalalau Valley. Picnicking, tent camping and nature observation are all popular activities here. Many visitors come to the area for the rain forest hiking along the rim of the Walmea Canyon. Trout fishing and pig hunting are also permitted during the appropriate seasons. The park offers several amenities including restrooms, outdoor showers, picnic areas, hiking trails, trash cans, a restaurant and drinking water.

The park has 19 popular hiking trails varying in level of difficulty, but all equally scenic. The parks totaled equal approximately 25 miles, but most likely a larger length.

Directions

Koke'e State Park is 15 miles north of Kekaha on Koke'e Road (Highway 550) at 3600 feet elevation; adjoins Waimea Canyon State Park.
